Sri Lankan Star Cricketer Tilakaratne Dilshan today announced that he will contest the upcoming General Elections under the SLPP ticket from the Galle district.
Launching his campaign in Galle district Tilakaratne Dilshan confirmed that he will be contesting the upcoming election under SLPP.
Former Sri Lanka Captain Tilakaratne Dilshan retired from International Cricket in 2016.
He has been a key supporter of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and campaigned for him during the last Presidential Election.
Tilakaratne Dilshan first extended his support to the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) in 2018, obtaining party membership.
