Sri Lanka to bring down 33 Sri Lankans stranded at Airports in 13 countries

The cabinet of ministers has granted approval to bring down 33 Sri Lankans stranded at foreign airports, Cabinet Co-Spokesman Dr. Ramesh Pathirana said during today’s cabinet briefing.

“Once they are brought back to the country, they would be subjected to a 21 day quarantine process” He said.

  • 3  Sri Lankans – Dubai
  • 7 Sri Lankans – Singapore
  • 1 Sri Lankan – Ethiopia
  • 2 Sri Lankans – Turkey
  • 1 Sri Lankan – Malaysia
  • 1 Sri Lankan – India
  • 1 Sri Lankan – Maldives
  • 2 Sri Lankans – London
  • 3 Sri Lankans – Seychelles
  • 1 Sri Lankan – Papua New Guinea
  • 1 Sri Lankan – Portugal
  • 5 Sri Lankans – Egypt

He further said the government intends to repatriate other overseas Sri Lankans who wish to return to Sri Lanka from overseas after the coronavirus threat is over.
