No new cases of coronavirus have been detected within the last 48 hours ending at 6.00 a.m. today.
The Ministry of Health said over 95,000 PCR or COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far in Sri Lanka.
Twenty-six (26) patients who were infected with COVID-19 were discharged after complete recovery yesterday, raising the total number of recovered patients to 1498.
The Ministry of Health said a total of 1950 coronavirus patients have been reported in Sri Lanka so far, with 441 active cases receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) says total global coronavirus cases are over 8.7 million with more than 461,000 deaths.
WHO reported a record increase in global coronavirus cases on Sunday, with the total rising by 183,020 in a 24-hour period. (Newswire)
