Three employees at the Colombo Port have commenced a protest by climbing onto a 57M gantry crane.
The protest is being staged demanding the new gantry cranes be installed at the East Container Terminal of Colombo Harbour.
Three gantry cranes have reportedly been brought down by the Government and are currently placed at the Jaya Container Terminal of Sri Lanka Ports Authority.
The protesters have called on the authorities to expedite the installment of the three cranes at the East Container Terminal of Colombo Harbour. (Newswire)
