Bodies of Sri Lankans from same family, murdered in Qatar, brought to Sri Lanka

The bodies of three Sri Lankans from the same family, who were murdered in Qatar, have been repatriated to Sri Lanka.

The deceased have been identified as a 59 year- old man, 55 year- old woman and their 34 year-old daughter.

The murders have being reported on 1st March and due to COVID19 restrictions it took nearly 4 months get the bodies back.

Another daughter of the deceased couple, who resides in Sri Lanka, told the media she was informed that her family had been murdered after suffering cuts to their throats.

According to the family a Sri Lankan who lived in Qatar is suspected for the murders.

Relatives of the deceased said the cause for the murder will be revealed following the completion of a fair investigation into the murders
