Negombo Prison Superintendent Anuruddha Sampayo surrendered to Police today.
Sampayo is the first suspect in the case filed over committing irregularities in the Negombo Prison. Three other suspects in the case- Chief Jailor of the Negombo Prison Upali Sarath Bandara, Second Tier Jailor Nishantha Senaratne and Jailor Prasad Kalinga Kaluaggala surrendered to the police earlier and they were remanded until August 04 by the court.
