The “heroin- smuggling cat” detained by Colombo Magazine Prison has escaped from the prison according to a news report in Aruna Newspaper.
Aruna newspaper qouting a prison source says that the cat has escaped from the room where it was held.
Prison officials on Saturday detained the Cat with a small pack of heroin tied around it’s neck.
Nearly 2 grams of heroin, 2 SIM cards and a memory chip were found inside the small pack tied on to the cat.
Officials believe Cat was used to smuggle heroine into the prison.
