Several policemen have been transferred with immediate effect, the Police media unit said.
The Police media unit said the policemen have been transferred with the approval of the National Police Commission.
The transfers are as follows.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG):
A.H.M.W.C. K. Alahakoon- Transferred from DIG of Kegalle District to Kandy District
G.M.H.B. Siriwardena – Transferred from DIG Kurunegala District to the Police Headquarters as the Acting IGP’s staff officer.
D.P. Chandrasiri – Transferred from the post of Acting IGP’s staff officer at the Police Headquarters as the DIG in charge of the Kurunegala District.
Acting DIG:
L.K.D. Anil Priyantha- Transferred from the post of DIG for Environmental protection and Civil services as the DIG in charge of the Kurunegala District.
Superintendent of Police (SP):
H.K.S. Wijegunawardena- Transferred from the Matara Division to the Kottawa Division as the officer in charge of District 1.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP):
M.M. Kumarasinghe- Transferred from the Elpitiya Division to the Colombo- North Division.
R.M.N. Ratnayake- Transferred from the Elpitiya Division to the Matara Division.
S.A.C.P. Subasinghe- Transferred from the Kankesanthurai Division to the Police Traffic Department.
G.J. Athukorale- Transferred from the Kegalle Division to the Badulla Division as the officer in charge of District 3.
N.J. Edirisinghe- Transferred from the Police Tourism Unit to the Police Traffic Department.
A.L.Abeygunasekera- Transferred from the Badulla Division to the Kegalle Division as the officer in charge of District 3.
N.A.Rupasinghe- Transferred from the Police Traffic Department to the Police Transport Division.
W.D.K.N. Perera – Transferred from the Kanatale Division to the Police Human Resources Department.
K.W.D. Thusarasena- Transferred from the Jaffna Division to the Police Headquarters as a member of the Office of the Head of Security.
W.M.D.R. Wanigasekera- Transferred from the Kandy Division to the Kanthale Division.
Chief Inspector:
H.S.K.Jayaratne- Transferred from the Nikaweretiya Division as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Kotawehera Police Station.
H.S.M.Caldera- Transferred from the post of OIC of the Grandpass Police Station to the DIG’s office in charge of the Matara and Tangalle Districts under the Matara Division.
B.N. Chandrasiri- Transferred from the post of Chief Inspector of the Tangalle Police Station as the OIC of the Grandpass Police Station.
D.W.Indrajith- Transferred from the Police Welfare Division as the Chief Inspector of the Tangalle Police Station.
S.A.N.M. de Silva- Transferred from Colombo Central as the OIC of the Kirindiwela Police Station.
