Police to implement lane rules in 4 routes from tomorrow

The Sri Lanka Police has decided to launch a special program to implement the lane rules in the Western Province from tomorrow (14).

Accordingly, the lane rules will be in effect from 06.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.  on  14 to 16 September 2020 under the directions of the Western Province Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (Motor Traffic), the Police said.

There are plans to implement these lane rules on following four roads:

  • Sri Jayawardana Mawatha, Polduwa Junction to Horton Place
  • Baseline Road, Kalani Bridge to High Level Road
  • High Level Road, Anula College to Sri Sambudhathwa Jayanthi Mawatha, Thummulla Roundabout, Thurston Road , Marcus Fernando Mawatha, Library Junction,  Ananda Kumaraswami Mawatha, Malpara Junction and Piththala Junction
  • Galle Road, William Junction to Galleface Roundabout and NSA Roundabout
