The Urban Development Authority (UDA) has commenced drafting the plan for the proposed cycling path from the Galle Face Green in Colombo to Sri Jaywardenapura in Battaramulla.
The project has been approved by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in his capacity as the Minister of Housing and Urban Development.
UDA Chairman Harshan De Silva and Director General N.P.K.Ranaweera have been advised by the President and the Prime Minister to commence operations with regard to the proposed project.
The UDA has commenced work on the draft plan of the project under the aegis of Acting Project Director of the UDA Y.A.G.K. Gunathilaka. (NewsWire)
