The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Sri Lanka has appreciated the Government’s recent decisions to protect child rights.
In a letter to the Minister of Justice Ali Sabry, UNICEF Sri Lanka representative Tim Sutton commended the decisions taken by the cabinet of Ministers on 16th September 2020.
The cabinet of Ministers granted approval to increase the minimum age of labour and to amend laws to ensure that children do not enter the prison system. (NewsWire)
