A group of individuals have been fined Rs. 1,500 each for violating COVID-19 regulations while at a nightclub in Colombo, the Ceylon Today reported.
Colombo Fort Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage imposed the fine on two women and two men after they were produced in Court yesterday (15).
They were arrested by the Colpetty Police on charges of malicious activities that could result in the spread of the COVID-19 in society.
The Police had informed Court that the group had failed to adhere to the COVID-19 regulations while at a nightclub in Colpetty. (NewsWire)
