Sri Lanka to establish Embassies in Romania and Spain

The cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to establish Sri Lankan Embassies in Romania and Spain.

Diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Romania commenced in 1957, while, diplomatic ties between Sri Lanka and Spain commenced in 1955.

The cabinet has approved the proposal to establish Sri Lankan missions in both Romania and Spain with a view to further develop the existing relations with the two countries.

A proposal in this regard was submitted by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dinesh Gunawardena. (NewsWire)
