Final decision on LPL to be taken after meeting with President tomorrow

The final decision on playing the Lanka Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament in November, will be taken tomorrow following a meeting with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa told NewsWire that the meeting is scheduled to be held with Cricket officials, the Covid Prevention Task force, and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

According to Sri Lanka Cricket sources, health authorities have been open to the suggestion to paly the tournament only in Hambantota in a bio bubble.

Earlier, the 2nd half of the tournament was to be played in Kandy.

Health authorities are also expected to handover the much delayed health guidelines to Sri Lanka Cricket officials tomorrow.  (NewsWire)
