The new entry point in Kamburupitiya on the Southern Expressway is slated to be declared open on Monday, 16th November 2020, Newsfirst reported.
The Kamburupitiya entry point has been sanctioned on a request made by Chairman of the Matara District Coordinating Committee MP Nipuna Ranawaka.
It is reported that a request has also been made to further extend the Southern Expressway through the Kamburupitiya entry point to Deniyaya.
A proposal has been put forward to the Secretary of the Ministry of Highways to extend the Expressway from Deniyaya all the way up to Hambantota. (NewsWire)
