Head of Dawoodi Bohra Community arrives in Sri Lanka with 36-member entourage

The head of the Dawoodi Bohra Community, His Holiness Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS and his entourage of 36, arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday (16) on a special charter flight.

The entourage was met with and escorted to Anasa Wellness Resort in Bandarawela by the Army and are now observing the mandatory 14 days quarantine there.

His Holiness and entourage are reported to have undergone the required PCR tests 72 hours prior to their departure and immediately upon arrival in Sri Lanka.

The Army is managing the Anasa Resort as a quarantine centre and the entourage are following all the stipulated health and safety protocols, stringently, in accordance with the Covid mitigation protocols set out by the Government of Sri Lanka.

“As responsible members of society, the safety and well-being of society at large is our highest priority, and we remain committed to safeguarding that committal. We are extremely grateful to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Sri Lanka Army and the Ministry of Health for facilitating this visit,” the Dawoodi Bohra Community said in a statement. (NewsWire)
