Lohan Ratwatte was sworn in as the State Minister of Prison Management and Prisoner’s Rehabilitation today.
The President’s Media Division (PMD) said Ratwatte took oaths before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat.
Lohan Ratwatte replaces former State Minister of Prison Reforms and Prisoner’s Rehabilitation Sudharshini Fernandopulle.
Fernandopulle was sworn-in as the State Minister for Primary Health Services, Infectious Diseases and Covid-19 Prevention on Monday (30).
The two appointments come on the back of two other new Ministerial appointments made last week.
Minister Chamal Rajapaksa took oaths as the State Minister of Security, Home Affairs, and Disaster Management on Thursday (26).
State Minister Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekera was also sworn in as the Minister of Public Security on the same day. (NewsWire)
