Overseas travel ban imposed on Basil Rajapaksa in case filed over the Malwana Mansion lifted

The international travel ban imposed on former Minister of Economic Affairs Basil Rajapaksa in connection to a property in Dompe has been lifted.

The travel ban was lifted on the orders of the Gampaha High Court when the case filed over the property was taken up for hearing today.

The Attorney General has filed this case under the Money Laundering Act.

Basil Rajapaksa has denied that he owns the 16-acre plot of land in Malwana in Dompe, constructing a mansion, a swimming pool, and a functioning farm. (NewsWire)
