Two more overseas players are set to leave the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2020 tournament underway in Hambantota, Sri Lanka.

Pakistan’s Sohail Tanveer and Canada’s Ravinderpal Singh are set to leave the LPL 2020.
Tanveer and Singhe were found to have contracted the coronavirus upon their arrival in Sri Lanka for the LPL 2020.

The Medical Director of the tournament Dr. Arjuna de Silva said the results of the final PCR tests of the two players have returned negative.

However, they require more rest before participating in the tournament as per the American Medical Association guidelines for Covid recovered patients.

News on the players’ departure comes on the back of the recent departure of Galle Gladiators Skipper and former Pakistan legend Shahid Afridi and Dambulla Vikings player Aftab Alam.

The two players left the LPL tournament midway due to personal reasons. (NewsWire)
