The father of the 20-day –old infant who died due to the coronvairus has denied reports by doctors stating that they had failed to claim the body of the child.
He further raised questions over the decision to cremate the child without the consent of the parents.
The man questioned as to how they could ascertain the identity of the cremated child and if it was indeed their infant, when the hospital had denied permission to see the child after being admitted and following its death.
Releasing a video footage, he pointed out that doctors treating the child had not allowed the parents to see the child since being admitted.
The man further said that the hospital had conducted PCR tests on the parents and had informed that they had tested negative.
The doctors had thereafter insisted on multiple occasions that the parents sign certain documents without seeing the child.
Stating that he had refused to sign the document without seeing the infant, the father of the child said hospital officials had later dropped off at his residence two documents.
One document contained details confirming that the child had tested positive for COVID-19 and the other the infant’s death certification signed by the Coroner, he said. (NewsWire)
