Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Kandy district MP Wasantha Yapa Bandara has tested positive for COVID-19.
Wasantha Yapa Bandara is the 6th Parliamentarian to test positive for the virus.
MPs Dayasiri Jayasekara, Rauff Hakeem, and Vasudeva Nanayakkara have recovered now and left the Covid treatment facility.
Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi and State Minister Piyal Nishantha are currently receiving treatment at the Covid treatment center in Koggala. (NewsWire)
