Navin, Namal meet to discuss Cricket

United National Party member Navin Dissanayake and Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa have held a discussion on developing cricket in Sri Lanka.

Former Parliamentarian Dissanayake said the intense discussion focused on the current state of the Cricket in the country.

He further said that he engaged in the discussions keeping aside political differences, due to the special interest shown on cricket by himself and his father.

Commenting on the discussions, Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa said he was pleased to hold talks with Dissanayake, who is the son of a former President of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
He said late Gamini Dissanayake was a successful leader and had worked hard for the development of the sport of cricket in Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
