Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith has rejected the Ministerial Committee appointed to study Easter Sunday Investigation Committe reports.
Speaking to the protesters at the Katuwapitiya Church Cardinal said that he feels the committe is an attempt to hide some unfavorable recommendations in the PCOI inquiry into the Easter attack.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday appointed the committe headed by Minister Chamal Rajapaksa. The other members include Ministers Johnston Fernando, Udaya Gammanpila, Ramesh Pathirana, Prasanna Ranatunga and Rohitha Abeygunawardena.
The President instructed the relevant committee to submit a report after studying the relevant reports by 15th March.
“This commission report was prepared by five highly intellectual personalities how can we allow a group who don’t even have O/Ls to decide about it” Cardinal questioned. (NewsWire)
