A proposal to acquire 2000 three- wheelers for the use of Police personnel has been approved by the Cabinet.
Minister of Public Security Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekara had submitted the proposal as the Police Department has informed it does not have sufficient vehicles for Police officers to carry out their duties.
Thereby, the Cabinet has approved the proposal to acquire 2000 three-wheelers as an immediate solution to the issue. (NewsWire)
