Army Commander clarifies social media reports on 2 weeks lockdown in June

A two-week lockdown will not be imposed in Sri Lanka in June, Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said.

He clarified that statements being spread in this regard on social media are false.

The Army Commander further reiterated that no such decision has been taken at present.

Reports were circulated on social media claiming that a lockdown will be imposed from the 1st of June for a period of two weeks.
