The Police Special Task Force (STF) Unit has established a special Jet Ski Drone Squadron.
The Police said 16 STF officers underwent Jet Ski training at the training centre of the Sri Lanka Motor Boats Association yesterday.
Thereafter, they had launched their first operation in the Muthurajawela area, where they had raided an illicit liquor den, seizing 26 barrels of illicit liquor and spirit.
The Police said the Special Squadron will be deployed to deal with environmental crimes, such as coral and sand mining, and drug trafficking-related incidents. (NewsWire)
