The Police said modern technology will also be used to conduct surveillance on traffic violations and reckless driving.

The measures are to be introduced via a special programme to be implemented by the Police in the future.

Nine deaths due to accidents were reported in the 24-hour period ending at 06 am today.

The Police said 07 of the victims were riders or passengers of motorcycles, while 2 of the victims were passengers of three-wheelers.
