1,721 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
This is the highest number of patients reported in a day in last 3 weeks.
Meanwhile 42 more Covid-19 related deaths also were confirmed yesterday by DG Health Services, increasing total number of deaths in Sri Lanka to 3,959.
