How are your children coping during these uncertain times?

Dealing with emotions can be challenging during uncertain times, especially for children, who may not fully understand the changes that are happening around them.

To address this, a special 2-day complimentary webinar titled, ‘Emotional Quotient (EQ) for Parents: Connecting Emotions for Growth’, has been organised through The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (The Association), the unified voice of AICPA & CIMA and delivered through CIMA in Sri Lanka, with an expert on social-emotional learning (SEL) for parents or guardians keen on helping their children cope with their feelings. It will teach participants about using SEL techniques to engage children, encouraging them to communicate and deal with emotions effectively, and equipping them with key competencies they will need in the future.

The webinar will be held on 28th July and 4th August 2021 at 4.00 p.m. (IST) via Zoom and will explore the following topics ‘From Home to Corporate World: A View of Social-Emotional Learning’, where participants will be introduced to SEL at home and discuss the ways of helping children to negotiate their emotions and ‘Parents as Pathfinders’, which will delve into what skills businesses will look for by the time children in this day and age join the workforce, how parents and guardians can help children adjust to future work-life expectations and help them discover their pathways.

The two-day programme will be conducted by Mohamed Azeem Saheer, Human Capital Specialist, Emotional Intelligence (EI) Practitioner, Coach, LEGO Serious Play Facilitator and Podcaster.
