- Sri Lanka President’s office to launch White House style weekly press briefings
The President’s Office has established a President’s Media Centre (PMC) at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo to conduct weekly press briefings.
The President’s spokesman Kingsly Rathnayake said the new PMC has been created based on the weekly press briefings conducted by the White House in the United States (US).
He said this will provide an opportunity for journalists to interact with Government officials, including the President, either directly or via online platforms. (NewsWire)
