Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila has gone into self-isolation from today after Covid patients were detected from among his Ministry’s staff members.
MP Gammanpila said the Ministry of Energy will be closed from today until the 6th of August, adding that the Ministry will be sanitized during this period.
He said several officers at the Ministry were found to be infected with the virus, but his Rapid Antigen Test had returned negative.
The Minister said, however, he has decided to self-isolate as a precautionary measure. (NewsWire)
