A mobile phone has been recovered from MP Rishad Bathiudeen’s cell at the Magazine Prison in Colombo.
The Prisons Department said the phone was found when prison officials had approached the Parliamentarian’s cell for inspection.
MP Bathiudeen is reported to have been talking on the mobile phone when the Prison officials had approached his cell.
He had thereafter thrown out the mobile phone through the window in his cell.
The Prisons Department said, however, the mobile phone had been retrieved by the Prison officials. (NewsWire)
