Zam Zam Foundation partners with CP Education Department to prepare students for O/L 2022

An MoU was signed between Zam Zam Foundation and Central Provincial Education Department on Thursday the 25th of November 2021 in Kandy to sponsor accelerated learning for 1050 students from Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Matale districts under E-LAP initiative.

The Central Provincial Department of Education has launched a special program to improve the GCE Ordinary Level Examination results of the province with a focus on about 10,000 students who are identified as ‘at risk’ as part of its TEAM2021 initiative. 

The Emergency Learning Assistance programme (E-LAP) initiative will have 21 Accelerated Learning Centres throughout the province being supported by Zam Zam Foundation, as a pilot project, which will provide specialized training to 50 students per Centre through experienced teachers selected by the department.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the Conference Hall of Central Provincial Department of Education in Kandy by Provincial Director of Education Mr. Amarasiri Piyadasa and Chairman of Zam Zam Foundation Mufthi. Yoosuff Haniffa in the presence of senior officials from the department and representative of Zam Zam Foundation.

Zam Zam Foundation, established in 2013, is a government registered Sri Lankan Social Services Organization working on Education, Social Harmony, Health & Wellbeing, Livelihood & Environmental Sustainability areas in all parts of Sri Lanka operating under the theme “Humanity Beyond Religion”.
