Minister of Public Security Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekara has instructed the Ministry Secretary to initiate disciplinary action against the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Imaduwa Interchange on the Sourthern Expressway.

Issuing a statement, the Ministry of Public Security said the incident in the video had occurred on 07 July 2021.

After the video made its rounds on social media again, the Minister has once again inquired on the incident and has instructed the Ministry Secretary to follow up on the investigation conducted by the IGP in this regard and submit a report.

He has further ordered the Ministry Secretary to initiate disciplinary action against the OIC involved in the incident. (NewsWire)
