The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has instructed fuel distributors to refrain from providing diesel in cans and barrels to the public.
Issuing a circular, the CPC informed all fuel stations that diesel must only be provided to vehicles with immediate effect.
The CPC further said the Police have been instructed to initiate action against fuel distributors who violate the directive.
The CPC added that disciplinary action will also be initiated against distributors at fuel stations against whom complaints are received for violating the instructions. (NewsWire)
