IMF: Sri Lanka’s economy projected to grow by 2.6% in 2022

The International Monetary Fund is forecasting Sri Lanka’s economy to grow by 2.6% this year (2022).

The forecast is down from the 3.6% that was projected in 2021 by the international financial institution.

The IMF further said that Sri Lanka’s projected Consumer Prices for 2022 are 17.6%.

Sri Lanka’s Special Drawing Rights for outstanding purchases and loans amount to US $ 892.28 million as of 31st March 2022.

Meanwhile, the country’s Special Drawing Rights amount to US $ 85.7 million, the IMF added. (NewsWire)
