An exchange of words took place between Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and MP Dayasiri Jayasekera in Parliament today.
The Prime Minister and MP clashed over a statement made by the latter with regard to Nagananda Kodithuwakku pertaining to Litro Gas Lanka and the shortage of gas in Sri Lanka.
MP Jaysekera requested the Prime Minister, in his capacity as the Finance Minister, to investigate if a consignment of gas had been purchased for US$ 129 when it could have been bought for US$ 95.
Thereafter, an exchange of words took place between the Prime Minister and MP Dayasiri Jayasekera on the matter. (NewsWire)
