Arrival of Petrol consignment further delayed

The arrival of the cargo of 40,000 Metric Tonnes of petrol has been further delayed, Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.

The consignment of fuel that was set to arrive yesterday was due today due to a delay, but it has now been reported of a further delay.

Minister Wijesekera said that the supplier has informed the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation that the arrival of the cargo of petrol will be further delayed.

He further said that a new date for the arrival of the fuel consignment will be confirmed later today.
