Sri Lanka Police seek public support to arrest those who sat in President’s chair

The Police have sought public assistance to apprehend those who had forcibly entered the President’s official residence and caused damage to property during the public protest in July.

The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) is conducting investigations into the incidents that had been reported during and following the mass public protest on 09th July.

The Police said the whereabouts of 32 persons identified via CCTV footage and social media are still unable to be ascertained.

Among the majority of the pictures released were suspects seated on the Sri Lanka President’s chair.

Thereby, the Police have sought the assistance of the public to arrest the suspects wanted over the crimes.
