Five persons have been arrested for conducting a motorcycle race at night on Galle Road in Mount Lavinia.
The Police said the suspects were arrested by the Mount Lavinia Police Traffic Division.
The Police have also seized five motorcycles that were used during the night race.
The suspects have been arrested on charges of engaging in a motorcycle race at night violating traffic laws and inconveniencing the public.
Investigations have revealed that the suspects had been arrested for similar offences in the past as well. (NewsWire)
