Update: Hospital capacity in Covid19 treatment centers in Sri Lanka

A total of 168 beds are available at 12 COVID-19 treatment facilities in Sri Lanka as of 5am today (15), the National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 (NOCPC) revealed.

The NOCPC said that the hospitals have a total capacity of 1,712 beds, with 1,544 beds being occupied following the detection of the new Covid cluster in Minuwangoda.

No patient from the Miniwangoda cluster has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as yet, the Centre said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health on Tuesday (13) announced that they are in the process of increasing the capacity of treating Covid patients. (NewsWire)
