The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) has sought public feedback on implementing number portability services in Sri Lanka.
The TRCSL said public feedback has been requested as a mandatory next step for the implementation of the services.
A public consultation paper has been published for this purpose.
The TRCSL said the public can obtain further information by downloading the public consultation paper from the official website of the TRCSL.
In August 2020, the TRCSL announced it had taken preliminary measures to introduce the number portability service to Sri Lanka.
The service enables consumers to switch to service providers of their choice without having to change their existing numbers. (NewsWire)
