The bodies of a woman and her 10-year- old child have been recovered from a house in the Damana area in Ambalanoya.
The Police said the 33 -year -old woman and her child are suspected to have been stabbed with a sharp weapon inside their house.
The cause for the murder has not been ascertained as yet, while the suspects involved in the double murder are yet to be identified.
The Police have commenced further investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
