NATA says grant Covid vaccine only for Sri Lankans who don’t consume alcohol and cigarettes

The National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA) has revealed that there was no benefit in administering the COVID-19 vaccine to people addicted to alcohol and cigarettes.

NATA Chairman Dr. Samadhi Rajapaksa said smoking and consuming alcohol reduces the immunity of a person.

Speaking to repoerters today, he further said that it was only fair to provide the vaccination to people who do not consume alcohol or cigarettes. (NewsWire)
