Opposition MPs today staged a protest in Parliament on behalf of imprisoned Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Ranjan Ramanayake.
The protesting MPs called on Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena to issue clear instructions and permit MP Ranjan Ramanayake to attend tomorrow’s Parliament sittings.
SJB MP Dr. Harsha de Silva Tweeted that the Parliament has been continuously avoiding a response to party leader MP Sajith Premadasa’s request in this regard. (NewsWire)
