Eight European Human Rights Ambassadors have voiced concerns over the alleged unlawful detention of prominent Sri Lankan human rights activist Hejaaz Hizbullah.
Hizbulla was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department in April 2020 in connection to the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks, and has since been remanded.
Issuing a joint statement, the 08 European Human Rights Ambassadors have urged the Government of Sri Lanka to respect human rights defenders such as Attorney-at-Law Hejaaz Hizbullah. (NewsWire)
