Injury concerns for Sri Lanka ahead of Bangladesh Test series

Sri Lanka Test squad for the series against Bangladesh will be finalised on Monday.

“We have few injury concerns, Lasith Embuldeniya is injured so as Pathum Nissanka. So we are awaiting a report from the physio to finalize the squad” Chief Selector Promodya Wickramasinghe told the Sunday Times.

Pathum Nissanka suffered a thigh strain during his the second Test against West Indies while Lasith Embuldeniya also suffered a serious injury to his thigh in the same game.

Meanwhile, Angelo Mathews, who missed the ODI and Test series in West Indies owing to a personal matter, has declared his availability for the two-match series against Bangladesh.

First Test against Bangladesh will begin on April 21st in Pallekale. (NewsWire)
