Breaking : Thisara Perera retires from International Cricket

Sri Lanka cricketer Thisara Perera has reportedly announced his retirement from international cricket.

According to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) sources, 32 year old Perera had informed the administration of his decision to retire from international cricket.

The All-rounder’s decision comes after it was recently reported that SLC selectors are considering dropping several senior cricketers, including Perera from the Sri Lanka ODI side.

The SLC sources said as a result, Perera has decided to retire from international cricket.

Sri Lankan Cricket selectors earlier announced they are considering dropping several senior cricketers from the Sri Lanka ODI side for the upcoming Bangladesh and England ODI tours.

A senior SLC official told NewsWire that selectors are unlikely to consider senior players Dimuth Karunaratne, Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, Suranga Lakmal and Thisara Perera for the upcoming limited overs tours.
