Sri Lanka has decided to impose travel restrictions among provinces due to the rapid spread of COVID-19.
President spokesman Kingsley Rathnayake in a statement said that restrictions will be applied until 30th May.
According to media reports in a meeting held with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa this afternoon along with the COVID-19 task force and the health experts from the GMOA and the Sri Lanka Medical Association, all those present had agreed to impose strict travel bans between the provinces and not go in for a complete country wide lockdown.
