The Health Promotion Bureau of Sri Lanka has clarified restrictions imposed with regard to people travelling in private vehicles.

The Director of the Bureau Dr. P. D. Koggalage told NewsWire that members from the same family are not required to wear face masks inside the vehicle when travelling together.

He further clarified that only members from different families or two unknown passengers travelling in a private vehicle together are required to wear face masks inside the vehicle.

Dr. Koggalage issued the clarification after a newspaper had reported that members from the same family travelling in their private vehicle are required to wear face masks inside the vehicle.

The Health Promotion Bureau has further advised only two passengers to travel in the vehicle, excluding the driver. (NewsWire)
